This role involves network implementation, administration, troubleshooting, and collaboration with various stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable connectivity services.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewall, load balancer, and DNS environments.
- Implement network changes and configurations in accordance with change management processes.
- Troubleshoot network issues and optimise performance.
- Design and support network solutions based on business requirements.
- Conduct proof-of-concepts and support infrastructure upgrades/refresh initiatives.
- Maintain network documentation and operational procedures.
- Participate in a rotational 24/7 standby support roster.
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical knowledge sharing within the team
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of Network Engineering experience in a medium to large enterprise environment.
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewall, and network security technologies.
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, VPN, NAT, ACL, DNS, DHCP, and load balancing.
- Familiarity with enterprise network and security platforms from leading vendors.
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- CCNP or equivalent networking certification.
- Firewall certifications are advantageous (eg: CheckPoint or Palo Alto).
- Experience supporting large-scale or mission-critical environments is a plus.
