Full-Stack Engineer

Parallax is an AI-powered financial analytics platformserving retail investors, family offices, SMA managers and institutionalresearch teams. We are looking for a full-stack engineer to help build,maintain and scale the platform as part of our small, fast-moving team. Youwill work across the entire stack — UI, APIs, and the data layer — with a primaryfocus on our Next.js / TypeScript web platform and occasional work on ourPython / FastAPI analytics service.

Next.js 15 (App Router) / React 18 / TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Radix & shadcn UI, TanStack Query & Table; data visualization with Recharts and Tremor

Next.js API routes & server actions (Node / TypeScript), Zod validation

Data

Supabase (PostgreSQL) via the Supabase client and direct SQL (postgres.js, repository pattern); Snowflake for financial & market data

Clerk (authentication & webhooks), Stripe (billing — in active development), Vercel AI SDK (Anthropic / OpenAI / others)

What You'll Do

•    Build, ship and maintain features end-to-end — from React / Next.jsinterfaces through API routes, server-side logic and the database.

•    Design and evolve the data layer: model schemas, write and reviewSQL, manage Postgres migrations in Supabase, and integrate financial data fromSnowflake.

•    Build and maintain key integrations — Clerk authentication, theStripe billing system (subscriptions, seats and usage credits) currently indevelopment, and AI / financial-data providers.

•    Own quality and reliability: write unit, integration and end-to-endtests, review code, and keep the platform performant, secure andwell-monitored.

•    Diagnose and resolve production issues, and occasionally contributefixes, endpoints and data tasks to the Python / FastAPI service.

What We're Looking For

•    Proven experience building and shipping production web applicationsfull-stack with TypeScript and modern React — ideally Next.js (App Router).

•    Strong backend fundamentals: designing and consuming REST APIs,writing solid server-side logic, and integrating third-party services.

•    Strong relational-database and SQL skills — schema design, queryoptimization and migrations (PostgreSQL preferred).

•    Comfortable owning work in an existing, actively-developed codebase;fluent with Git, pull requests and code review; disciplined about testing,performance and security.

•    Clear written and verbal English; able to work independently,communicate trade-offs, and keep a small team in sync.

Nice to Have

•    Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses, and experience workingwith financial or market data.

•    Stripe billing (subscriptions, usage-based billing, webhooks) andClerk or comparable authentication providers.

•    Working knowledge of Python / FastAPI, plus our wider toolset:Tailwind, TanStack Query, Vercel, Upstash Redis and AI / LLM SDKs; a backgroundor interest in finance, investing or fintech is a plus.
