About the Program
The Global Semiconductor Exchange Program (GSEP) – Analog IC Design is designed for students and graduates who aspire to build a career in Analog IC Design, Custom IC Layout, and Semiconductor Engineering.
Hosted at Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology (SZIIT) in Shenzhen, China, this immersive program combines classroom learning, practical design exercises, laboratory exposure, and international experience within one of Asia's leading technology ecosystems.
Participants will strengthen their understanding of analog circuit design while gaining insights into real-world semiconductor workflows and industry practices.
Program Structure
During the 1-month International Training in Shenzhen, China, you'll gain practical exposure to:
• Instructor-led sessions in Analog IC Design and IC Layout
• Hands-on design exercises and simulation-based learning
• Exposure to semiconductor laboratories and engineering facilities
• Campus life and an international learning environment
• Opportunities for technology ecosystem visits and innovation exposure
• Collaboration with trainers and fellow participants from diverse backgrounds
In the following 3 months, you'll gain hands-on industry experience through an On-the-Job Training (OJT) placement.
Responsibilities
Participants will gain exposure to topics including:
• Analog circuit fundamentals, including diodes and MOS transistors
• Large-signal and small-signal circuit analysis
• Single-stage and multi-stage amplifier design
• Feedback techniques and frequency response analysis
• IC layout methodologies and matching techniques
• Analog layout implementation for OP Amp, CMP, LPF, OSC, and ESD structures
• End-to-end Low Dropout Regulator (LDO) chip design
• Layout extraction, post-simulation, and physical verification
Who We're Looking For
• Fresh graduates or final-year students in:
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- Physics
- Electronic Science and Technology
- Communication Engineering
- Microelectronics Science and Engineering
- Electronic Information Science and Technology
- or other related disciplines
• Strong interest in semiconductor technology and Analog IC Design
• Basic understanding of circuit analysis and semiconductor fundamentals is advantageous
• Eagerness to learn through practical, hands-on engineering activities
• Willingness to participate in the overseas training and subsequent OJT program
