Job Summary
The ACMV Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) projects from commencement to completion. The role involves overseeing project execution, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, managing resources, and delivering projects within budget and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ACMV projects, including air-conditioning systems, chilled water systems, ventilation systems, ducting works, and mechanical services installations.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise project activities to ensure timely completion.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and authorities.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, quality, and safety performance.
- Prepare project schedules, manpower deployment plans, and procurement schedules.
- Manage project budgets, variation orders, claims, and cost control.
- Attend site meetings and provide project updates to management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company safety procedures.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of ACMV systems.
- Resolve technical and operational issues arising during project execution.
- Prepare project reports, documentation, and progress claims.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant ACMV project management experience.
- Experience managing commercial, industrial, residential, or institutional ACMV projects.
- Familiarity with chilled water systems, FCU, AHU, ventilation systems, and ducting installations.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of ACMV design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with local building regulations, BCA requirements, and workplace safety regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office applications.
