Duties and responsibilities
- Assist in the design, engineering, and development of Solar PV systems, including technical feasibility studies and system configuration.
- Prepare, review, and update engineering drawings, layouts, mark-up drawings, and as-built drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations using CAD software, including DC cable sizing, cable routing, trunking, and related design calculations.
- Use specialized engineering software to create models, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Support tender and proposal activities by preparing engineering simulations, technical drawings, and design documentation.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and surveys to verify site conditions and ensure design compliance during project execution.
- Assist in rooftop solar, civil, and M&E design analysis and calculations in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Work closely with the Project and Technical Engineering teams to coordinate drawings, obtain design approvals, and support project execution.
- Organize, maintain, and update engineering records, drawings, and project documentation.
- Analyze design issues, identify technical challenges, and recommend corrective actions or improvements.
- Ensure all designs, components, and assemblies comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and company requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of technical documents required for project approvals and regulatory compliance.
- Support prototype development, testing activities, and design validation where required.
- Continuously suggest improvements to engineering drawings, design standards, and best practices in line with industry developments.
- Provide overall drafting and engineering support to ensure projects are delivered within established timelines and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Diploma/ Degree in Building or Civil Engineering or its equivalent
- Minimum with 2 years of related working experience
- Familiar with standard design software, proficient in AutoCAD
- With relevant experience in the analysis and design of geotechnical works, concrete structures, steel structures, civil works, or soil-structure interactions.
