Role Overview
The Financial Controller will serve as a key business partner and driver of financial performance, supporting Glorise Tourism & Culture Company Limited and CIty Greatest Limited in achieving its strategic and operational goals. This role requires strong ownership, proactive leadership, and the ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is not just a reporting custodian but a hands-on driver who challenges the business, drives accountability, and ensures alignment across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Leadership & Business Partnering
Act as a trusted finance leader and strategic advisor to management and key stakeholders.
Drive financial performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives, budgets, and growth plans.
Provide forward-looking insights, scenario analysis, and actionable recommendations.
Proactively identify risks and opportunities and drive timely, data-led decision-making.
2. Stakeholder Management (Critical Success Factor)
Actively manage and influence multiple senior stakeholders
Serve as the central financial coordination point to ensure clarity, alignment, and accountability.
Drive conversations rather than passively supporting them and confidently challenge assumptions where required.
Resolve conflicting priorities and ensure timely delivery across all stakeholder expectations.
3. Financial Control & Governance
Ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and governance frameworks are in place.
Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Maintain strong oversight of cash flow, working capital, and cost management.
Ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory, and internal policies.
4. Planning, Budgeting & Performance Management
Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
Establish clear KPIs and performance tracking mechanisms.
Monitor variances and ensure corrective actions are driven and executed.
Partner closely with operations to ensure financial discipline and accountability.
5. Process Improvement & Transformation
Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements.
Drive finance transformation initiatives to support scalability and growth.
Develop streamlined reporting to enable faster, data-driven decision-making.
6. Office & Administrative Responsibilities
Oversee selected office administrative and general administration tasks as part of the broader management role.
Coordinate with office administration, HR, and external service providers to ensure smooth daily operations.
Review and approve administrative expenses, vendor payments, and office-related contracts.
Support management in office setup, resource planning, and operational matters as required.
Ensure appropriate controls and cost discipline are applied to administrative and office expenditures.
7. Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ensure the finance team acts as a proactive business partner rather than a purely reporting function.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA/CA or equivalent preferred.
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader.
Strong track record in managing multiple senior stakeholders and complex reporting lines.
Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes, not just report numbers.
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Highly proactive, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
