Regional Technical Service Manager
We're looking for a seasoned service leader to shape and lead our client's APAC service delivery function from the ground up. This is a high-impact, strategic role with real ownership where you will define the regional service strategy, build the delivery model, and develop it into a fully operational profit centre. If you have built or transformed service functions in medical devices and know how to balance the big picture with ground-level execution, this role is designed for you.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategy & Vision
- Design and lead the APAC service strategy, setting the direction for mid-to-long-term service and technical delivery
- Map and own the end-to-end customer journey, from reachability and convenience to personalisation and flexibility
- Build competitive, future-ready service models that scale alongside business growth
Operations Excellence
- Drive a data-driven operational model; identify gaps, eliminate inefficiencies, and establish best practices across the region
- Harmonise processes and technical service delivery across diverse markets
- Conduct structured as-is assessments to surface improvement opportunities and build scalable solutions
Cross-functional Leadership
- Align Sales, Marketing, and Product teams around customer experience priorities
- Build capability across the organisation through mentoring, coaching, and workforce planning
People & Culture
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing regional team
- Foster a culture of accountability, recognition, inclusion, and continuous improvement
- Champion ethics, compliance, and core company values at every level
Customer & Field Engagement
- Maintain a strong voice-of-customer orientation. This role expects field presence and direct engagement with customers and distributors
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the region, including distributors and channel partners
What We're Looking For
- Industry background is non-negotiable: you must come from medical devices or medtech with deep familiarity with the regulatory environment, customer expectations, and go-to-market dynamics of this industry.
- 10–15 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 6 years in a managerial role
- Demonstrated success building or transforming a service delivery or customer experience function, preferably across APAC markets
- Strong commercial acumen with a genuine P&L orientation
- Graduate degree required; MBA is an advantage
- Comfortable with 30–40% travel across the region
