Responsibilities

About the Role

We are hiring experienced Lifting Engineers to join our dynamic team. As a Lifting Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing the safe lifting and installation of critical plant & project site equipment including machineries, chillers, generators, cooling towers, and electrical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals to work on various projects and gain valuable experience. You will work closely with the Project Manager, site supervisors, crane operators, and specialized contractors in a collaborative and safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lifting Operations Planning & Coordination: You will develop detailed lifting plans and method statements for the safe installation of heavy equipment. This includes assessing equipment specifications, calculating load weights, determining appropriate lifting equipment and rigging methods, and coordinating with crane operators and riggers to execute lifts safely and efficiently.

  • Site Safety & Compliance: Safety is our top priority. You will ensure all lifting operations comply with Malaysian safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and company HSE protocols. You will conduct pre-lift safety briefings, inspect rigging equipment, monitor lifting operations for hazards, and immediately report any safety concerns to the Project Manager and Safety Officer.

  • Technical Documentation & Records: You will prepare and maintain comprehensive lifting documentation including lift plans, risk assessments, equipment inspection records, and daily site reports. Clear and accurate documentation ensures traceability and supports continuous improvement of our lifting operations.

  • Equipment Coordination & Logistics: You will work with logistics coordinators and vendors to ensure timely delivery of equipment to the site. You will verify equipment specifications upon arrival, coordinate storage and staging areas, and manage the sequencing of lifts to align with the overall project schedule.

  • Team Collaboration & Communication: You will communicate effectively with the Project Manager, site supervisors, crane operators, riggers, and other contractors. You will provide technical guidance to on-site teams, address questions about lifting procedures, and foster a collaborative problem-solving approach to overcome site challenges.

  • Quality Assurance: You will verify that all lifted equipment is properly positioned, secured, and aligned according to engineering specifications. You will work with the QA/QC team to ensure installations meet quality standards before equipment is handed over to the next phase of work.
