Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a driven and user-centric Product Manager to join our fast-growing, tech-enabled property management startup. You will play a pivotal role in shaping product execution, bridging business needs with technical delivery, and ensuring a seamless experience for our predominantly American user base.

As a core member of the product function, you will collaborate closely with developers, QA, operations, and leadership to define requirements, support roadmap planning, and ensure successful feature delivery from ideation to launch.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).
  • Collaborate with Ops, Support, and Tech teams to capture user pain points and contextual details.
  • Write clear acceptance criteria and work closely with QA to ensure proper test coverage.

Ideation (Rough, Exploratory)

  • Prepare problem briefs and identify key opportunities based on user feedback and internal inputs.
  • Drive ideation sessions with Tech Lead and UI/UX Designer.
  • Produce lightweight, high-level flow sketches or low-fidelity diagrams to illustrate early concepts.
  • Explore 1–2 rough solution directions to spark discussion and alignment.
  • Highlight open questions and clarify problem scope before design or development.

Cross-Functional Communication

  • Work closely with developers to clarify requirements, resolve blockers, and adjust scope as needed.
  • Partner with the Tech Lead on feasibility, complexity, and technical dependencies.
  • Work closely with the designer to refine user flows, interaction logic, and usability.
  • Ensure QA has complete clarity on acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
  • Align Ops/Support teams with product changes and collect ongoing feedback.
  • Maintain transparent communication across all teams involved in delivery.

Release Management

  • Coordinate feature releases to ensure smooth rollout and internal readiness.
  • Prepare clear release notes and ensure Ops, Support, and QA are aligned with upcoming changes.

Product Strategy (Support Role)

  • Contribute insights and on-the-ground product understanding to support the company’s product strategy and roadmap direction (strategy is owned by leadership).
  • Translate strategic priorities into well-defined problems, requirements, and user stories.
  • Align execution work with the broader product vision set by leadership and the tech lead.
  • Ensure day-to-day product decisions are consistent with high-level goals.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

  • 2–5 years of product management experience (startup experience is a plus).
  • Proven track record delivering software products end-to-end.
  • Experience working closely with engineering and QA in an agile environment.

Skills

  • Clear and structured communicator.
  • Strong in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, PRDs, and product flows.
  • Comfortable sketching rough flows (FigJam, Miro, Excalidraw, or Figma basics).
  • Familiarity with Agile methods, backlog management, and sprint workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in property management, service workflows, or marketplace platforms.
  • Familiarity with U.S. user expectations, workflows, or compliance nuances.
  • Basic technical understanding (APIs, system flows) to communicate effectively with engineers.
  • Experience in lean or small-team environments with shared responsibilities.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive Salary & Benefits: Compensation aligned with experience.
  • ESOP: Participate in long-term company growth.
  • Remote-Friendly Culture: Flexible work environment with monthly in-person meetups (with sponsored lunch).
  • Ownership & Growth: Take ownership of meaningful product areas and shape how features are delivered.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work with a supportive, cross-functional team that values impact and continuous improvement.
  • Inclusive Workplace: We embrace diversity and encourage open ideas to drive better outcomes.
