Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

  • Estimating Manager plays a crucial role in shaping the company’s ability to secure projects profitably. Position is responsible for leading the development of accurate, competitive, and risk-informed cost estimates for offshore Oil & Gas EPCI/T&I projects.
  • The role ensures alignment between technical solutions, execution strategy, and commercial objectives to enhance bid competitiveness while safeguarding profitability and contractual compliance as the backbone of tender submissions.
  • The role is responsible for developing pricing strategies, assessing commercial and contractual risks, ensuring compliance with tender requirements, and providing reliable cost information to support business growth and profitability.
  • The Manager, Estimation works closely with Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Project teams to deliver high-quality bids, enhance tender success rates, and ensure seamless handover of awarded projects while maintaining governance, commercial integrity, and safety compliance.


Key Accountability:

  • Prepare cost build up / estimation file for the scope of work to be estimated by gathering proposals, technical concept, specifications, and related documents as per internal procedure and internal estimation sheet format.
  • Prepare commercial tables required for the various management reviews.
  • Review tender documents to have clear understanding on bid requirements and scope of work.
  • Identify and establish all possible cost items for a project.
  • Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
  • Identify other alternatives and optional methods to execute the project and establish the respective estimate that is/are being considered.
  • Understand market trends and anticipate competitors’ capabilities on pricing strategies.
  • Provide finalized data and input for management approvals.
  • Understand clients’ pricing schedule structure, identify pricing strategy, and provide pricing breakdown as per bid requirement.
  • Prepare the commercial submission sheet as per client’s ITT requirement.
  • Provide input for commercial exceptions and qualifications.
  • Understands key contractual terms & conditions and highlight key issues to management.
  • Involve in post bid submission activities i.e. clarifications, negotiations, award, contract finalization, and handover to project team.
  • Plans and works pro-actively with the other functional departments to identify priorities and expedites estimate input data to achieve the planned completion date and quality.
  • Providing and controlling all essential financial / commercial information considering requirements & rules, commercial risk assessment, project budget and cash-flow projection
  • Provide mentorship to Junior Estimators.
  • Responsibilities: To ensure that all Company/Department safety objectives and legal requirements are complied.


Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum – 12 years – working and relevant experience in Oil & Gas especially in offshore T&I / EPCI, with estimation, tendering or project control.
  • Other additional experience in the oil and gas industry such as engineering, procurement, fabrication, or hook- up will also be considered.
