Job Description

Responsibilities

This role resides under Marine Services (the Integrated Marine Services arm of MISC Group).


THE JOB

To lead and execute strategic capability development initiatives that strengthen the organisation’s leadership pipeline, technical expertise, and talent readiness. This role drives the design and delivery of leadership competency frameworks, learning strategies, career and succession planning, and serves as the secretariat for the Management Development Committee (MDC).


Leadership Competency Development

  1. Design, implement, and continuously enhance leadership competency frameworks to support organisational transformation.
  2. Facilitate leadership assessments and development programmes that build future-ready leaders.
  3. Collaborate with business leaders to embed leadership competencies into performance and development processes.

Learning Management

  1. Oversee the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring seamless user experience and accurate data management.
  2. Monitor learning analytics to assess programme effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  3. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to curate and deliver impactful learning solutions.

Training Needs Analysis

  1. Conduct structured training needs analysis across departments to identify capability gaps and development priorities.
  2. Translate insights into targeted learning plans and interventions that align with business goals.
  3. Evaluate training outcomes and recommend enhancements to maximise learning ROI.

Career Planning

  1. Develop and maintain career pathways for technical and leadership roles, supporting employee growth and mobility.
  2. Facilitate career planning conversations and tools to empower employees in managing their career journeys.
  3. Provide career development insights and reporting to HR and business leaders.

Succession Planning

  1. Support the identification of critical roles and potential successors through structured assessments and talent reviews.
  2. Coordinate succession planning processes and maintain accurate talent pipeline data.
  3. Track development progress of successors and ensure readiness for future leadership roles.

MDC Secretariat

  1. Manage end-to-end coordination of Management Development Committee (MDC) meetings.
  2. Prepare meeting materials, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  3. Ensure alignment of MDC decisions with talent development strategies.


THE PERSON

  • Minimum 7–10 years in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or related fields.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource / Business, or a related discipline.
