Job Overview:
The Project Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily project activities to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and according to client requirements, company procedures, and regulatory standards. The role involves managing site operations, manpower, equipment, project documentation, client communication, and ensuring project completion within the agreed timeline.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Pre-Project Planning: Conduct site assessments, determine resource needs (manpower, equipment, materials), and secure necessary permits/safety documents before work begins.
- Budget & Schedule Management: Prepare project budgets, optimize costs, map out schedules, and monitor timelines to prevent project delays.
- Site Supervision: Lead day-to-day site operations from kickoff to completion, ensuring work meets quality standards, client expectations, and timelines.
- Logistics & Inventory: Coordinate site logistics, equipment usage, and material handling. Conduct material verification (item counts, asset ID, weight reconciliation) for strict inventory accuracy.
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Client Relations: Act as the primary on-site representative, liaising with clients on progress, access arrangements, and solving site-related issues.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and manage onsite workers, drivers, and subcontractors. Monitor performance, enforce workplace discipline, and foster a positive team environment.
- Vendor Coordination: Align with internal departments, contractors, and vendors to keep project activities moving smoothly.
Safety, Health & Compliance
- Safety First: Conduct daily toolbox briefings, enforce PPE and Permit-to-Work (PTW) compliance, and immediately halt any unsafe work practices.
- Risk & Compliance: Identify workplace hazards, participate in incident investigations, and ensure strict compliance with ISO, R2, IMS programs, and environmental regulations.
Documentation, Asset & Reporting Management
- Reporting: Prepare and submit daily progress updates, site reports, and final completion records.
- Compliance Documentation: Assist in generating Certificates of Destruction (COD), disposal/dismantling reports, and maintaining audit-ready files.
- Asset Care: Oversee the proper use, pre-inspection, and storage of company tools, vehicles, and equipment.
Requirements & Competencies
- Diploma or Certificate in Environmental Management, Occupational Safety & Health, Logistics, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in project supervision, operations, logistics, industrial services, waste management, recycling, or related industries.
- Project coordination and site supervision.
- Knowledge of PTW systems and workplace safety practices.
- Understanding of waste management, recycling and related fields.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, project documentation).
- Compliance with ISO, R2, and company procedures
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
