Position : Quality Analyst

Location: Jalan Tandang, 46050 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

Industry: Consumer Health

Contract: Contract via PERSOL until December 2026

Working Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Salary: RM2,800 – RM3,000 (based on experience & skills)

Overall Responsibility

This role offers excellent exposure to Microbiology, Analytical Testing, Quality Assurance, GMP, Laboratory Operations, and Regulatory Compliance, making it ideal for science graduates looking to grow their careers in the pharmaceutical, consumer health, or manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities

Microbiology Laboratory

• Perform Microbial Limit Testing (MLT) on finished goods, bulk products, and raw materials.
• Conduct Sterility Testing and Growth Promotion Testing (GPT).
• Prepare and qualify microbiological media.
• Perform sterilization of microbiological laboratory apparatus and glassware.
• Support stock culture maintenance and inoculum preparation.
• Conduct bacterial identification using API kits.
• Monitor plant hygiene programs including: Water sampling and testing, Environmental air monitoring, Compressed air monitoring, Swab testing analysis
• Support finished goods release activities based on microbiological testing results.
• Investigate laboratory deviations and support Laboratory Investigation Reports (LIRs).
• Monitor inventory of microbiological media and laboratory supplies.

Raw Material & Packaging Material Quality Control

• Manage incoming raw material and packaging material inspection processes.
• Coordinate outsourced testing activities and ensure timely receipt of results.
• Review Supplier Certificates of Analysis (COA) and testing reports.
• Support raw material testing, including: FTIR Testing, pH Testing, Viscosity Testing, Refractive Index Testing, Specific Gravity Testing
• Perform packaging material inspections and evaluations.
• Support reference standard management and data reconciliation activities.

Analytical Laboratory Support (Backup Scope)

• Support chemical analysis using HPLC and physical testing methods.
• Conduct stability study sample management and reporting.
• Manage analytical reference standards.
• Monitor testing chemical inventory and laboratory readiness.
• Support biofilm removal activities through chemical preparation and titration.

Laboratory Administration & Compliance

• Monitor laboratory temperature and humidity conditions.
• Conduct weekly eyewash station inspections.
• Support stock inventory management and purchasing activities.
• Maintain laboratory logbooks and records accurately.
• Ensure compliance with: GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) requirements, Quality Management Systems

What We're Looking For?

• Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Applied Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or related Science disciplines
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Knowledge of laboratory testing, GMP, and quality systems is an advantage
• Good documentation and reporting skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a laboratory environmen
• Fresh graduates with relevant laboratory exposure are encouraged to apply
