Senior Tester / Test Lead - Quality Engineering

Join a major digital innovation firm delivering enterprise transformation programs across modern engineering environments. This role is suited to a senior quality engineering professional who can assess, shape, and uplift QA capability while driving modern automation and testing practices across large-scale delivery teams.

• Partner with engineering, DevOps, and business stakeholders to improve quality, delivery, and testing maturity

The Role

You’ll be responsible for assessing current testing capability across applications and helping define a future-state Quality Engineering framework. This includes reviewing automation coverage, UAT processes, tooling, QA maturity, and CI/CD integration, while establishing scalable standards and frameworks that engineering teams can adopt long term.

You’ll work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, business stakeholders, and senior client teams to drive a shift-left testing culture and modernise testing practices across the software delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess current-state testing capability across unit, integration, end-to-end, and manual testing
• Identify gaps in test coverage, tooling, QA processes, and team capability
• Design scalable Quality Engineering standards and automation strategies
• Define testing frameworks, conventions, KPIs, and quality metrics
• Evaluate and improve UAT processes, workflows, and business engagement models
• Integrate continuous testing approaches within CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute to QA transformation initiatives and uplift testing maturity across teams
• Partner with technical and business stakeholders on strategic quality initiatives
• Support executive-level reporting and technical deep-dive sessions

Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering, Test Architecture, or QA leadership
• Strong experience designing test strategies across the full testing pyramid
• Hands-on experience with .NET testing frameworks including xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, or SpecFlow/Reqnroll
• Strong experience with automation tools including Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Experience working across React / JavaScript testing environments
• Strong understanding of CI/CD integration and shift-left testing practices
• Experience with test management and quality tooling such as Azure DevOps Test Plans, TestRail, SonarQube, Coverlet, or similar
• Ability to assess and uplift QA maturity across enterprise environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement, documentation, and consulting capability

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-assisted test generation tools
• Performance testing experience using JMeter, k6, or NBomber
• Accessibility testing experience using axe, WAVE, or Pa11y
• Exposure to BDD / ATDD approaches
