Serving global markets in sectors such as automotive, medical, industrial, and consumer electronics, the company is committed to delivering high-quality products, operational excellence, and continuous innovation. With manufacturing facilities across Asia and a strong international presence, it continues to be a trusted partner for customers worldwide.

About the role:

As an Account Executive (AP/AR), you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial transactions. You will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow, strengthening financial controls, and supporting day-to-day finance operations through effective management of vendor payments, customer collections, invoicing, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

· Accounts Payable Management: Review and verify supplier invoices through 3-way matching (PO, GRN, and Invoice), process vendor payments, and ensure all transactions are completed accurately and in accordance with company policies and approval procedures.

  • Accounts Receivable & Credit Control: Generate and issue sales invoices, debit notes, and credit notes, monitor customer aging reports, follow up on outstanding balances, and support debt collection efforts to improve cash flow management.
  • e-Invoicing & Billing Compliance: Manage and process e-Invoices in compliance with Malaysia's e-Invoice requirements, including submission, validation, and maintenance through the LHDN MyInvois portal or integrated ERP systems.
  • Reconciliation & Payment Matching: Perform vendor statement reconciliations, customer account reconciliations, and daily payment matching to ensure accounting records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Expense Claims & Financial Administration: Review and process employee travel and expense claims in accordance with company policies while maintaining proper supporting documentation and records.
  • Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and internal control procedures, including segregation of duties, accurate record keeping, and compliance with audit requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as MIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), or general accounting functions. Experience in a Public Listed Company (PLC) or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of Malaysia's e-Invoice framework and related compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting or ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reconciliation processes.

Good-to-know:

  • Exposure Beyond Traditional AP/AR Functions: Work closely with cross-functional teams and gain exposure to finance operations, compliance, ERP systems, and Malaysia's evolving e-Invoice framework.
  • Career Growth Potential: Develop a well-rounded accounting skill set and position yourself for future opportunities within finance, accounting, and business operations functions.
  • Be Part of a Global Organization: Gain valuable experience working within a multinational manufacturing company serving customers across various international markets.

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Account Executive (AP/AR) to manage the company's accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in handling invoicing, payment processing, reconciliations, and credit control activities within a structured corporate environment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing vendor payments, customer billing, collections, e-Invoice compliance, and account reconciliations, while working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records, healthy cash flow, strong internal controls, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
