Job Description

Responsibilities

Prima Falah Sdn Bhd is looking for an experienced Cost Control Manager to join our growing team. (BASED IN JOHOR BAHRU / TOK BALI, KELANTAN)

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance across marine, shipyard, infrastructure, industrial, and oil & gas projects.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, finance teams, and stakeholders to monitor project costs, analyze financial performance, identify cost variances, and ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.

This position requires strong expertise in project cost control, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting. Candidates with experience in marine, shipyard, infrastructure, industrial, or oil & gas environments are highly encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in contract administration and commercial management.
  • Experience in shipyard, marine, industrial, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract, procurement practices, and commercial management.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, claims management, and risk assessment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage contract administration activities from project award to project completion.
  • Review, negotiate, and administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and commercial agreements.
  • Monitor contractual compliance and ensure adherence to project and client requirements.
  • Evaluate and manage variation orders, extension of time (EOT) claims, and contractual disputes.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
  • Support procurement activities, including tender evaluation and contract award recommendations.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and commercial performance.
  • Prepare and review commercial reports, contract correspondence, and project documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on contractual matters.
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to project teams and management.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
