Versatile Creation Hiring! Full Time Junior Industrial Engineer in Pulau Pinang, Earn up to MYR 3,500 - Ricebowl

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and continuous improvement of assembly and manufacturing processes, working closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Assist in factory layout planning and workstation design, including material flow concepts and space optimization, and drive the practical implementation on the shopfloor.
• Develop and maintain detailed production documentation, including assembly plans, work sequences, routing structures, and production-ready work instructions; support training and production readiness activities.
• Support equipment integration and ramp-up activities, including documentation preparation, commissioning support, and performance monitoring during start-up phases.
• Conduct time studies, data analysis, and basic root-cause analysis, translating findings into practical improvements related to quality, cycle time, productivity, and ergonomics.
• Assist in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing initiatives, such as 5S, visual management, waste reduction, and process standardization.
• Support new product and process introductions, including pilot builds, trials, structured feedback loops, and lessons learned activities to ensure a smooth and stable ramp-up.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering or similar; internship/thesis/first hands-on experience in a factory environment is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Lean / Continuous Improvement (e.g., 5S, standard work, waste identification); Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt) is a plus.
• Strong interest in production systems, layout planning, assembly processes and process optimization.
• Basic to good CAD skills (e.g., AutoCAD or comparable tools) for layout planning and workstation design.
• Structured working style and attention to documentation; confident with MS Office (especially Excel).
• Team-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable being present on the shopfloor; good English skills.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
