Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Business Development Executive role based in Selangor, Malaysia, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Business Development Executive will identify and pursue new business opportunities in the precision medicine and molecular diagnostics space, including prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline management. Daily responsibilities include conducting market research, generating and nurturing leads, preparing presentations and proposals, and supporting the development of strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, laboratories, and industry stakeholders. The role involves managing and growing key accounts, maintaining strong client relationships, and coordinating closely with internal teams (scientific, clinical, and operations) to align client needs with Oncode’s solutions. The Business Development Executive will also support sales forecasting, reporting, and participation in conferences, events, and client meetings as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong new business development and lead generation skills, with experience building and managing a sales pipeline.
  • Solid understanding of business and commercial principles, preferably within healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, or related industries.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex scientific or technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven account management capabilities, with a track record of maintaining and growing long-term client relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market trends and customer needs.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment, managing time effectively between on-site client engagement and remote work.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in oncology, molecular diagnostics, or precision medicine business development is an advantage.
