Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Commodity Program Manager (CPM) to lead cross-functional engineering development and implementation programs for hardware subsystems and components within a product portfolio.
The successful candidate will manage program schedules, coordinate with internal teams and ODM partners, drive qualification activities, resolve escalations, mitigate supply risks, and ensure successful delivery of product development milestones while meeting cost, quality, and timeline objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Management
- Lead and manage engineering development programs involving multiple functional teams.
- Drive implementation and qualification activities for product subsystems and components.
- Develop and maintain program schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.
- Track project progress and ensure timely delivery of critical program objectives.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans proactively.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate activities between engineering teams, manufacturing teams, ODMs, suppliers, and development partners.
- Facilitate communication across stakeholders to ensure alignment on program goals.
- Support project teams in resolving technical and operational challenges.
- Ensure effective collaboration between internal and external partners.
Qualification & Engineering Support
- Work closely with System Engineering teams and ODM partners on commodity qualification plans.
- Track qualification progress and ensure completion according to project timelines.
- Monitor qualification status and support engineering teams in debugging and issue resolution.
- Participate in core team meetings and provide updates on qualification status and critical risks.
Risk Management & Escalation Handling
- Manage program escalations and perform issue analysis.
- Develop and execute mitigation plans for component shortages and supply risks.
- Coordinate urgent qualification requests and drive timely resolution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
Leadership & Mentoring
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Promote best practices in program management and stakeholder communication.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in:
- Engineering
- Computer Science
- Business Management
- Supply Chain Management
- Related Technical Discipline
Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in:
- Program Management
- Project Management
- Engineering Operations
- Product Development
- Hardware Development Programs
Preferred
- PMP / PMI Certification
- Experience in Panel, Camera, Battery, or PC Hardware industries
