Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Sales Engineer position with Client Singapore is an opportunity to learn consultative, solution-based sales. Sales professionals work in a highly professional and fast-paced office an average of two days a week, while three days a week they visit manufacturers within their assigned territory to consult face-to-face on solving customers critical quality control, reliability, research, or design applications.

While Client products are highly technical, comprehensive training will be provided to develop expertise in our products, application solutions, proactive sales process, and conducting effective sales consultations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Attend product and application training at Client Singapore Head Office in Singapore (approximately 3 to 6 months). Training is paid.

• Develop a thorough understanding of Client products and applications through structured classes, seminars, and on-the-job training.

• Provide technical consultation and support to customers to help solve applications using Client's products across a variety of industries, selecting and promoting suitable company products/services.

• Demonstrate adaptability in meeting Client Singapore's performance expectations and addressing customer challenges.

• Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries and requests.

• Develop new customer accounts consistently and effectively.

• Travel to customer locations approximately three days per week to promote and sell products/services across manufacturing and related industries.

• Coordinate account strategies and contribute to the territory's strategic sales plan.

• Support and implement new product launch strategies.

• Drive growth in market share within the assigned sales territory.

• Coordinate and participate in off-site seminars and trade shows as required.

• Manage daily activities independently with minimal supervision.

• Comply with company and departmental policies and procedures.

• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.

• Interest and aptitude in learning and applying technical product knowledge.

• Interest in working within manufacturing environments.

• Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Ability to listen actively and respond effectively to customer needs and enquiries.

• Goal-oriented with a strong drive to achieve measurable sales results.

• Willingness to participate in structured training, mentorship, and a process-driven sales approach.

• Commitment to professionalism, punctuality, attendance, and adherence to company policies.

• Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time, including occasional overnight travel, as required for customer engagement.

• Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license is preferred, as the role involves regular travel to customer sites.
