The Opportunity

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented intern to support the Sales & Key Accounts team. You will support the Malaysia sales team in managing pharmacy chains (Watsons, Guardian, Caring, etc.) and modern trade accounts. This is a hands-on, data-driven internship for students interested in FMCG sales, key account management, or trade marketing.


The role is suitable for candidates who are interested in developing a career in sales, key account management, or trade marketing.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Sales Reporting & Analysis

  • Assist in compiling weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
  • Monitor scan sales performance and key SKU movement across retail accounts.
  • Support sales trend analysis and preparation of business performance summaries.
  • Maintain sales trackers, forecasting files, and reporting templates.


  1. Retail Account & Trade Support
  • Support coordination and tracking of promotional campaigns and trade activities.
  • Assist in monitoring promotion timelines, mechanics, and execution progress.
  • Help compile post-promotion performance analysis and campaign learnings.
  • Coordinate with internal departments on campaign and operational follow-ups.


  1. Retail Operations Support
  • Monitor stock availability and highlight potential out-of-stock issues.
  • Assist in tracking new product launches and distribution progress.
  • Consolidate field feedback and operational updates from the sales team.
  • Support administrative documentation related to retail account activities.


  1. Market & Competitor Monitoring
  • Compile competitors’ pricing, promotions, and market activities.
  • Conduct basic market research and retail trend monitoring.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis for sales and channel initiatives.


  1. Presentation & Administrative Support
  • Prepare presentation slides, reports, and meeting materials.
  • Organize sales-related documents and trackers.
  • Assist in coordination for internal meetings and communications.



Learning Outcome

  • Exposure to retail/pharmacy sales channel operations.
  • Understanding of key account management and trade execution.
  • Hands-on experience in sales reporting and commercial analysis.

Internship Duration

  • Minimum 6 months internship period preferred.


Requirements

  • Currently pursuing Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related fields.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good time management skills.
  • Able to take initiative on assigned tasks with guidance and collaborate effectively within the team in a fast-moving retail environment.
