Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QS Manager to lead and manage all quantity surveying and commercial functions for our construction projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for project cost control, contract administration, procurement, tendering, claims, and final accounts while ensuring project profitability and commercial compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage overall project cost planning, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Prepare and review tender submissions, quotations, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), variation orders, and final accounts.
  • Administer and manage contracts with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project expenditures and provide regular cost reports to management.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
  • Manage project claims, variations, and contractual matters.
  • Lead and supervise the Quantity Surveying team.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to resolve commercial and contractual issues.
  • Support project planning and business objectives through effective cost management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in the construction industry.
  • Prior experience in a QS Manager, Senior QS, or similar leadership role.
  • Experience in building, civil engineering, infrastructure, or structural steel projects.
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration, tendering, procurement, cost control, and project commercial management.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and industry practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
