Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing corporate, group, and leisure accounts to drive room revenue, events, and ancillary sales. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting new business, conducting sales calls and client visits, preparing proposals, negotiating rates and contracts, and managing the sales pipeline. The role also involves coordinating site inspections, collaborating with revenue, marketing, and operations teams to optimize packages and promotions, and ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. The Sales Manager will maintain strong relationships with key partners, monitor market and competitor activity, and represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and client functions to strengthen brand presence and achieve sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and managing key accounts.
  • Strong skills in business development, including prospecting, lead qualification, pipeline management, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with diverse clients and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of market segmentation, pricing, and revenue management concepts within the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, and use CRM systems or hotel sales tools effectively.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with operations, events, and marketing teams to deliver seamless guest and client experiences.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; additional local language skills are an advantage.
  • Prior experience with international hotel brands, especially within the Marriott portfolio, is an added advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
