Job Description

Responsibilities

A Human Resources (HR) Manager in a recruitment or staffing company oversees internal personnel, shapes organizational culture, and ensures the agency's recruiters have the right tools and training to succeed. This role aligns workforce planning with the company's aggressive sales and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Internal Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for internal hires (e.g., sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new recruitment consultants and support staff).
  • Manage employer branding initiatives to attract top-tier talent to the agency.


2. Performance & Incentive Management

  • Design and manage performance appraisal systems specifically tailored for a fast-paced, commission-driven recruitment environment.
  • Collaborate with management to structure competitive compensation, bonuses, and incentive plans to drive recruiter productivity.


3. Employee Relations & Culture Building

  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and positive work culture.
  • Mediate workplace disputes, manage disciplinary processes, and address employee grievances.


4. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs and develop onboarding and capability-building programs for new and existing recruiters (e.g., sourcing, client management, and negotiation training).
  • Support leadership development and continuous learning within the agency.


5. HR Compliance & Operations

  • Ensure all HR practices and internal policies comply with local and regional employment and labor laws.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and administer daily HR operations efficiently.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Diploma/ Professional Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 to 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within the recruitment, staffing, or fast-paced sales-driven industries.
  • Knowledge: Thorough understanding of employment laws, recruitment best practices, and HR policies.
  • Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain positive interpersonal relationships.
  • Mindset: Results-driven, highly analytical, and adaptable to organizational change and scaling.
