Responsibilities

Immediate Hiring: Assistant Outlet Chef

Location: JIBRIL Johor Bahru

We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Assistant Outlet Chef to lead daily kitchen operations and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food. The ideal candidate is a strong team leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining operational excellence, food quality and kitchen discipline.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to the Company's recipes, quality standards and SOPs.
  • Supervise, train and develop kitchen team members to maintain consistency and performance.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, presentation and overall kitchen standards.
  • Manage inventory, stock ordering and stock control to ensure sufficient supply of ingredients.
  • Monitor ingredient usage and minimize food wastage.
  • Ensure proper food handling, hygiene and food safety standards are maintained at all times.
  • Conduct regular checks on kitchen cleanliness, equipment and workstations.
  • Work closely with the Outlet Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Assist in implementing new menu items, SOPs and operational improvements.
  • Handle kitchen-related issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure kitchen manpower is properly managed and scheduled to support operational requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in restaurant kitchen operations.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a kitchen team is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and food safety standards.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop a kitchen team.
  • Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, responsible and able to perform under pressure.
  • Able to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Willing to learn, grow and contribute to the success of the team.
