Job Description

Responsibilities

A Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring that designs, plans, and specifications are executed accurately. This role involves collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and project managers to deliver projects within the scope, budget, and timeline. The Project Engineer’s role is critical in quality assurance, on-site coordination, and managing technical compliance.

Project Planning and Execution

Interpret and implement construction plans, drawings, and specifications.Support the project manager in planning and organizing project activities, ensuring all engineering aspects are properly coordinated.Participate in setting timelines, estimating costs, and preparing budgets.

On-Site Coordination and Supervision

Supervise on-site activities, ensuring construction meets design specifications and quality standards.Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.Monitor work progress, report discrepancies, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Quality Control and Compliance

Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality standards and adherence to project specifications.Oversee testing of materials and components to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.Maintain thorough documentation for quality assurance, compliance, and any necessary adjustments.

Cost and Resource Management

Track project expenses, ensuring alignment with the budget, and report cost deviations.Help with sourcing materials and managing inventory on-site to prevent delays.Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure that resources are available when needed.

Technical Problem Solving and Issue Resolution

Identify potential technical issues and develop solutions in consultation with the project manager and engineers.Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures as necessary.Document and communicate any technical changes or modifications made during the project.

Stakeholder Communication and Reporting

Liaise between project teams, clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment and address project requirements.Prepare progress reports for project managers and stakeholders, providing updates on milestones and challenges.Attend project meetings, providing insights on technical aspects and project needs.

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
