As an intern, you'll work alongside our experienced maintenance team and learn the full range of skills that keep a hospitality property in top condition.
What You'll Learn & Do
Under the guidance of our senior technicians, you'll get hands-on exposure to:
- General Maintenance & Repairs — Assist with routine inspections and repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities, and learn how to respond to maintenance requests with minimal disruption to guests.
- Electrical & Plumbing Basics — Shadow and support troubleshooting of basic electrical, plumbing, and lighting issues, building practical skills along the way.
- Kitchen Equipment — Learn how chillers, freezers, and other refrigeration units are serviced and maintained for reliable operation.
- Laundry Equipment — Gain familiarity with commercial laundry equipment, including industrial washers and dryers.
- Preventive Maintenance — Take part in scheduled preventive maintenance and understand why it matters for keeping facilities in optimal condition.
- Painting & Carpentry — Help with minor painting, carpentry, and furniture repairs to maintain the hotel's appearance.
- Safety & Compliance — Learn to work to safety standards and to identify and report potential hazards.
- Grounds & Facilities — Assist in maintaining the hotel grounds, pool area, and outdoor facilities.
- Event & Banquet Support — Help set up equipment and facilities for banquets and special events.
- Team Collaboration — Work closely with housekeeping, kitchen, and front office teams to see how seamless hotel operations come together.
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a course in a technical/trade field (electrical, mechanical, building maintenance, or similar) — or simply a strong hands-on aptitude and genuine interest in the trade
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive, problem-solving attitude
- Team player mentality and good attention to detail
- Physical stamina and willingness to take on practical, hands-on work
- Basic safety awareness and a customer-focused mindset
- Reliability, initiative, and a positive attitude
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends, as the hotel operates daily
