Unimed Medical Institute Limited Hiring! Full Time Laboratory - Research Assistant in Hong Kong - Ricebowl

Responsibilities:

• Centrifugation of samples and cleaning of laboratory containers as instructed by MLT;
• Aliquot samples and prepare relevant documents for send out tests;
• Specimen registration, storage, retrieve and disposal of tested samples and clinical waste;
• Filing of temperature monitoring record (fridges, freezers and incubators), notify MLT for follow up when required;
• Periodic maintenance of lab instruments e.g. compartment check of fridges, calibration of micropipette, centrifuge, precision check of balance etc;
• Responsible for proper processing and storage of human sample
• Handle proper sample testing duties
• preparation of tissue section with paraffin microtome,
• Staining e.g. H&E staining,
• biochemical tests for cancer markers as well as hematological tests, also practices some molecular tests such as DNA and RNA extraction.
• Carry out laboratory related duties such as equipment maintenance, stock checking, quality assurance and general clerical work, etc.
• Provide administrative and clerical support to specimen receiving
• Receive and distribute laboratory samples throughout clinic and the other laboratory
• Input laboratory data, perform filing duties and document scanning
• Perform other ad-hoc assignments when required
• 5 and alternative Saturday days per week, no shift duty

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma / Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Science or equivalent
• At least 2-3 years' work experience in accredited laboratory
• Strong sense of teamwork and able to work under pressure
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, willing to learn and multi-tasking
• Proficiency in computer skills
• Immediate availability is preferred
• Able to work independently
