Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of events and related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Responsibilities include developing project plans and timelines, managing resources and vendors, coordinating logistics, and monitoring progress to address risks or issues proactively. The role involves working closely with clients to understand requirements, preparing proposals, and providing regular status updates and post-event reports. The Project Manager will also lead internal project teams, support process improvements, and ensure that all work meets Shockwave’s standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, with experience in planning, executing, and closing projects or events.
  • Candidates should possess Expeditor and Expediting skills to ensure timely delivery of materials, services, and project milestones.
  • Candidates should possess Inspection skills to verify quality, compliance, and accuracy of deliverables and vendor outputs.
  • Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to coordinate schedules, transportation, equipment, and on-site operations.
  • Relevant experience in events, production, construction, or related project-based industries is advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and vendor coordination capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, Business, Events Management, or a related field is preferred.
