Role Purpose

The Capacity Planning IE ensures optimal utilization of resources (machines, manpower, and materials) by analyzing demand forecasts, production capabilities, and operational constraints. The role focuses on balancing efficiency, cost, and flexibility to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Capacity Analysis: Evaluate current production capacity, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements.
• Forecasting: Collaborate with demand planning teams to translate sales forecasts into capacity requirements.
• Resource Planning: Develop manpower and machine loading plans to meet production schedules.
• Process Optimization: Apply industrial engineering techniques (time studies, line balancing, work measurement) to improve throughput.
• Scenario Modeling: Simulate different demand scenarios to assess impact on capacity and recommend contingency plans.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with production, supply chain, and quality teams to align capacity plans with operational goals.
• Reporting: Prepare dashboards and reports on utilization, efficiency, and capacity gaps for management review.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in, or knowledge of, semiconductor manufacturing processes is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Power BI.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Communication: Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate complex data to management
• Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data extraction, statistics, and modeling techniques (e.g., MS Excel, SQL, Tableau).
