Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Hiring! Full Time Technician, Asset Operation in Johor - Ricebowl

Job Purpose

• To deliver hands-on Electrical Low Voltage (ELV) such as CCTV System, Access Card Management System (AMS), Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS) and any other associated systems maintenance and support at MRT facilities. 

• To execute preventive and reactive tasks to ensure system reliability, service continuity, and technical compliance in line with MRT operational standards.

• To monitor the condition of facility assets.

• To supervise maintenance activities, and ensure that the vendor complies with technical and operational standards set by the company for the selected systems.

• To ensure uninterrupted operations, compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and a high standard of service delivery.

Responsibilities

Planning, Coordination & Compliance

• To engage with other team members, various stakeholders and contractors/consultants/related Government agencies/InfraCo/OpCo at the working level and monitor the implementation in order to resolve issues in a timely manner with regards to Security Systems (ELV) operation.

• To escalate and identify potential issues and risks that may affect operation and non-compliance to the supervisor.

Technical Systems & Maintenance

• To ensure all the systems related in place and operate efficiently.

• Implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance works on Security Systems (ELV) to ensure operational reliability.

• Coordinate communication and documentation between internal departments and external service providers to support seamless facility operations.

• Respond to on-site incidents and equipment faults by conducting first-level troubleshooting and resolve the incident in time.

• Escalating unresolved issues to supervisors or vendors.

• Monitor and report the operational status of Security systems (ELV) to ensure functionality and system uptime.

• Assist in managing the vendor relationships and contracts for maintenance, repairs, and services for selected systems.

• Conduct system upgrades, optimizations, and improvements to enhance security system efficiency and performance under supervisor.

• Ability to navigate and utilize all features and modules within the Security Management equipment such as surveillance system, access management system, intrusion detection system, scanners etc.

• 24/7 operational demands: Maintenance and repair must be conducted with minimal disruption to continuous RTS Link operation. Due to demand, the role must occasionally require working outside normal business hours or on weekends for emergencies or critical projects

Team Collaboration & Support

• A team player and assists Departmental goals in providing good and reliable incident solutions with regards to Security systems (ELV).

Others

• Monitor the performance of Security systems equipment and systems at RTS Link.

• Resolve issues in a timely manner to meet operation requirement and company’s expectations.

• Engaging with relevant Stakeholders and relevant Malaysian & Singapore Government Agencies / InfraCo / OpCo.

• Resolve issue within designated timeline.

• Utilizing data and analytics to predict and prevent equipment failures.

• 24/7 Operational Demands: A key challenge is performing maintenance and repairs with minimal disruption to the continuous operation of the RTS Link. This often requires scheduling work during off-peak hours and having robust contingency plans for unexpected failures.

Requirements

• Possess a Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical field with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.

• 1–2 years of practical experience in ELV maintenance (CCTV, AMS, PIDS etc) or facilities engineering environments.

• Familiarity with preventive maintenance, electrical repair tasks and adherence to SOPs in facility systems.

• Strong troubleshooting, communication and multi-stakeholder coordination capabilities.

• Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa. 

• Relevant certifications are an added advantage.
