Responsibilities

About the Role


We are seeking a skilled Playwright Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web and API testing. This role requires strong programming expertise and hands on experience in automation, with a focus on delivering high quality software through CI/CD driven delivery models. This role involves designing and implementing end to end automated test frameworks using Playwright, developing and maintaining automated test scripts for both UI and API testing, and building reusable automation components using Page Object Model architecture.


Responsibilities


  • Design and implement end to end automated test frameworks using Playwright
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for both UI and API testing
  • Build reusable automation components using Page Object Model architecture
  • Perform cross browser testing, regression testing, and integration testing
  • Integrate automation suites into CI CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Bitbucket
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams within Agile or Scrum environments
  • Debug and resolve unstable test cases using Playwright capabilities such as auto waiting, trace viewer, and logging
  • Contribute to automation strategy, improve test coverage, and support early testing practices
  • Conduct code reviews and support knowledge sharing within the team



Qualifications


  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience



Required Skills


  • Strong hands on experience with Playwright using JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Java
  • Experience in UI and API automation testing
  • Proven experience in building automation frameworks, preferably from the ground up
  • Working knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow


Preferred Skills


  • Solid programming and problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
  • Understanding of CI CD concepts and implementation
  • Knowledge of test design techniques and quality assurance best practices
