Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead and scale our growing Foundation IP team in Penang. This is a critical leadership role responsible for building organizational capability, shaping technical direction, and delivering high-impact IP enablement across Lattice’s FPGA software ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with a proven track record in people leadership, capable of growing teams, developing future leaders, and driving execution in complex HW/SW environments.

You Will

• Build and scale a high-performing, multi-domain Foundation IP organization.
• Define and drive technical strategy for IP enablement within FPGA software tools.
• Partner cross-functionally with Hardware, Software, QA, Product and Apps teams globally.
• Develop a culture of engineering excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Requirements And Skills

Technical Leadership

• Strong domain expertise in FPGA architecture (Memory, DSP, IO, PLL, Clock Network, Serdes), Foundation IP, or system-level IP domains
• Deep understanding of EDA flows (Synthesis, Place & Route, Timing, Simulation)
• Solid working knowledge of HDL (Verilog/System Verilog/VHDL) and simulation/debug ecosystems
  
  

Organizational Leadership

• Proven experience building and leading technical team.
• Ability to set direction, align stakeholders, and drive execution across various projects
  
  

Collaboration & Influence

• Strong cross-functional leadership across SW, HW, QA, Product, and Applications teams
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment at organization level
• Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex technical topics into clear direction
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• 12–15+ years of industry experience in FPGA, EDA, or related domains
• 7+ years of management experience
• Proven experience in FPGA IP, device modelling, or EDA tool development environments

• Establish a clear technical vision and roadmap aligned with device and tool strategy
• Deliver high-quality IP enablement integrated into Lattice tool flows
