The Role

We are looking for a COBOL/AS400 Developer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in WP Kuala Lumpur. You will design, develop, and maintain COBOL applications on AS400 systems supporting core banking and financial solutions.

What you'll do:

• Develop and unit test COBOL programs (batch & online)

• Support SIT, UAT, and Migration Rehearsal (MR)

• Analyze requirements and translate into technical specs

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement enhancements

• Ensure system reliability, performance, and security

• Prepare project documentation per Bank SDM standards

• Collaborate with BAs, QA engineers, and technical teams

What we're looking for:

• 3+ years of COBOL development experience

• Strong AS400 / iSeries and OS400 knowledge

• Good SQL skills on AS400 or similar platforms

• Experience in SDLC — design, coding, testing, deployment

• Familiarity with CICS, WebSphere, MQ, Red Hat, Linux

• Banking, payments, or fintech background is a plus

• Diploma or above in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
