Job Description

The Head, Infrastructure is responsible for setting the strategic direction, governance, design, delivery, and operations of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure across the Group. The role ensures that infrastructure platforms are resilient, secure, scalable, cost-efficient, and compliant, while effectively enabling business growth, digital transformation, and regulatory obligations.This position provides end-to-end accountability covering infrastructure solution delivery, engineering, operations, service reliability, and modernisation initiatives across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, in close partnership with business, architecture, security, risk, and delivery stakeholders.Decisions made independently:

• Infrastructure operating decisions to ensure service availability, resilience, and security.
• Prioritisation of infrastructure incidents, remediation actions, and recovery strategies.
• Approval of infrastructure operational spend within delegated authority.
• Deployment standards, operational controls, and service operating procedures.
  
  

Recommendations Typically Endorsed By The Line Manager

• Infrastructure strategy, road map, and major transformation initiatives.
• Capital investments and vendor sourcing strategies.
• Changes to infrastructure operating model and sourcing arrangements.
  
  

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Head Of Technology & Infrastructure Should Have

• Minimum 10 years of experience in leading overall infrastructure for a large organization
• Bachelor's degree of Engineering or Computer Science or other academic achievement.
• Strong strategic, technical, and operational leadership
• Sound judgement under pressure and disciplined execution mindset
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Deep commitment to resilience, security, compliance, and value delivery
