Role Description

The Sales Engineer will provide technical support, deliver product presentations, and assist customers in selecting the right solutions for their needs. The role entails developing and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying sales opportunities, preparing proposals, and driving sales to achieve targets while ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaboration with internal teams is essential to deliver tailored solutions that meet client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Select and identify the most cost‑effective base price for project applications based on customer specifications.

Prepare and follow up on quotations, liaising with Project and MRO teams to interpret specifications and customer requirements.

Review customer drawings and data, and report feedback from customers on current jobs to management.

Monitor product purchases to ensure timely delivery to customers.

Obtain appropriate MRO commodities in a timely manner and provide clear instructions to purchasers on orders received.

Maintain strong knowledge of company products as well as competitors’ offerings.

Participate in on‑site meetings with clients, support new MRO business, and assist project sales teams with RFx/Tenders when required.

Provide monthly sales reporting and assist management with ad‑hoc assignments.

Qualifications and Competencies

Fresh Graduate

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, as training will be provided.

Candidates with one to two years of oil and gas industry experience are also encouraged to apply.

Must possess a valid driver’s licence.

Strong communication and customer service skills to build and maintain client relationships.

Effective interpersonal skills and good written proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment.

A solid understanding of the oilfield supply and services industry is an advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
