Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Finance Manager role based at Columbia Asia in Tebrau. The Finance Manager will lead the hospital’s finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support strategic and operational decisions. Responsibilities include managing monthly and annual closing activities, preparing accurate financial and management reports, ensuring compliance with local regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements. The role will oversee cash flow management, cost control, and financial analysis to optimize resource utilization and support revenue and expense management. The Finance Manager will also collaborate closely with hospital leadership and cross-functional teams, provide financial insights to improve performance, and supervise finance staff to ensure efficient and timely financial operations.
Qualifications
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, management reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in audit coordination, internal controls, and risk management within a corporate or healthcare environment.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with accounting/ERP systems; ability to work with data for decision support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are an advantage.
  • Proven experience in a finance leadership role, preferably in healthcare, hospitals, or service-oriented industries.
  • Strong people management, coaching, and team leadership capabilities, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on-site in Tebrau, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
