Role Description This is a part-time TAKAFUL AGENT (ADVISOR) role based in Petaling Jaya with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. The Takaful Advisor will identify and approach potential clients, understand their financial protection needs, and recommend suitable Takaful solutions. Daily tasks include meeting clients in person or virtually, explaining product features and benefits, and assisting clients through the application and onboarding process. The role also involves maintaining ongoing relationships with clients through regular follow-ups, policy reviews, and service support. Advisors will participate in training sessions, team meetings, and marketing activities to build product knowledge and expand their client base.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial and Takaful concepts clearly and confidently to clients.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a passion for helping individuals and families plan for financial protection and long-term security.
  • Basic understanding of insurance, Takaful, or financial planning concepts; willingness to learn and obtain relevant certifications or licenses as required.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, able to manage time effectively in a hybrid work environment and meet sales or activity targets.
  • Comfortable using digital tools for online meetings, presentations, client follow-up, and basic documentation or reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team while also operating independently with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience in insurance, Takaful, banking, sales, or customer service is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Minimum educational qualification: SPM or equivalent; higher education in business, finance, or related fields is beneficial.
  • Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or English; additional local languages are an added advantage.
