Responsibilities

Company Description Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL), a subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance (MOF Inc.) of Malaysia, is responsible for administering the implementation of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project. As the project owner, MRL coordinates with government bodies, contractors, partners, and communities nationwide to ensure successful delivery of this strategic infrastructure. The ECRL is an electrified railway linking the East Coast states of Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang with the Greater Klang Valley region. It connects state capitals, major urban centers, industrial hubs, ports, airports, and tourism zones, and integrates with existing rail lines across Peninsular Malaysia. The project is a key component of the East Coast Economic Region (ECER) Masterplan, aimed at promoting balanced economic growth between the east and west of the country.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Administration role based in Kota Bharu. The Administration team member will support daily office operations, including managing correspondence, preparing documents, maintaining records, and coordinating meetings and appointments. The role involves handling administrative logistics for internal and external engagements, assisting with data entry and basic reporting, and ensuring proper filing and document control in line with company procedures. The individual will liaise with various departments to support project-related administrative needs, manage office supplies and facilities requests, and assist in organizing visits, events, or training sessions. The role requires consistent adherence to company policies, confidentiality standards, and timely completion of assigned tasks.
Qualifications
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, including document management, record-keeping, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office suite, email, spreadsheets, and basic databases).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in administration, office coordination, or project support roles, preferably in infrastructure or public sector environments, is an advantage.
  • Willingness to be based on-site in Kota Bharu and support occasional extended hours during peak project periods.
