We are seeking a sales driven Channel Development Manager to manage modern trade accounts, drive sales growth, and execute impactful trade marketing activities across retail channels. This role will focus on strengthening retailer partnerships, enhancing in-store brand visibility, and ensuring effective execution of campaigns and business strategies to support overall business performance

Job Description:

Account Management & Business Growth

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retail accounts such as Watsons, Guardian, AEON, Lotus’s and other modern trade partners.
• Drive sales growth through strategic account planning, upselling opportunities, and effective joint business planning.
• Ensure timely communication, issue resolution, and smooth collaboration with retail partners for long-term business growth.

Trade Marketing & Campaign Execution

• Develop and execute annual trade marketing plans aligned with sales and marketing objectives.
• Plan and implement channel-specific marketing strategies, including exclusive SKUs, quarterly campaigns, and joint marketing activities.
• Conceptualize and execute impactful trade promotions, in-store campaigns, roadshows, sampling activities, and activation programs.
• Oversees POSM, in-store displays, and brand visibility initiatives to enhance retail presence and shopper engagement.
• Conduct regular retail visits to ensure execution excellence and brand guideline compliance.

Sales Analysis & Market Insights

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities.
• Analyze sell-in/sell-out performance and prepare reports to improve campaign effectiveness and business strategies.
• Track campaign performance and recommend optimization plans for better ROI.

Inventory & Operational Coordination

• Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and product launches.
• Monitor stock availability, replenishment, product listings, claims, and slow-moving SKUs to support healthy inventory management.
• Coordinate with external vendors and retail partners to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Key Account Management, or Modern Trade within FMCG or retail industry.
• Experience managing modern trade accounts such as Watsons and Guardian is highly preferred.
• Proven track record in driving sales growth, strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is an added advantage.
• Proactive, hands-on, and willing to travel for retail visits and events.
