We are seeking a proactive and service-oriented IT Support Executive to manage the Company's day-to-day IT support functions and ensure smooth IT operations for employees across headquarters and all branches / business locations. This role focuses primarily on end-user support, IT asset management, user account administration, laptop and software setup, and general office IT operations.
Job Responsibilities
1. IT Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, email, printer, network, and other IT-related issues through on-site, remote, telephone, or online support channels.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other IT equipment to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot office IT infrastructure, including network connectivity, Wi-Fi access points, printers, meeting room equipment, and other end-user technologies.
2. User Account & Access Management
- Administer and maintain company email accounts, software applications, system accounts, and user access permissions in accordance with internal IT policies and security requirements.
- Install, configure, update, and maintain operating systems, business applications, and productivity software to support business operations.
3. Employee Onboarding & Offboarding Support
- Manage end-to-end IT onboarding activities for new employees, including preparation and deployment of IT equipment, email account setup, software installation, user account creation, and system access provisioning.
- Coordinate IT offboarding activities for resigning employees, including reformatting and recovery of company IT assets, deactivation of email and system accounts, revocation of access rights, and verification of asset returns.
4. IT Asset & Vendor Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of IT assets, including inventory tracking, issuance, maintenance, transfers, warranty management, and disposal of company devices.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers on internet services, hardware maintenance, software support, warranty claims, licensing matters, and IT-related procurement activities.
5. IT Operations & Administration
- Perform routine system maintenance activities, including software updates, antivirus management, backup verification, and implementation of basic cybersecurity best practices.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties, assignments, projects, or tasks as assigned by Management from time to time in support of the Company's operational and business requirements.
Job Requirements
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant working experience in IT Support, IT Helpdesk, Desktop Support, IT Administration, or a similar role.
- Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude, a positive learning attitude, and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Good knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software installation and configuration, email administration, printer setup, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Able to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with user account management, system administration, cloud-based applications, and endpoint device management will be an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of IT asset management, software licensing, cybersecurity best practices, and data protection principles.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service-oriented mindset when supporting internal users.
- Possess a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining accurate IT documentation and records.
- Willing to travel occasionally to branches or business locations to provide on-site technical support when required.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
