The Apple Mac Support Specialist provides expert technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for macOS devices in a corporate or enterprise environment. This role ensures seamless integration, security, and performance of Apple hardware and software, supporting end-users and collaborating with IT teams to maintain device lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site deskside support for Windows 11/MacOS computers and related hardware.
- Assist with iPhone enrollment and management using Microsoft Intune.
- Manage Mac deployment via MDM tools (JAMF, or Intune).
- Troubleshoot Apple-specific applications (e.g., Apple Business Manager, MDM issues).
- Create, update, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for support processes.
- Plan and execute Mac refresh cycles and tech refresh programs.
- Ensure Mac integration with corporate systems (Active Directory, SSO, VPN, printers).
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure consistent and high-quality support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience supporting macOS in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on expertise in:
- JAMF Pro (mandatory).
- Microsoft Intune (preferred).
- Apple Business Manager (ABM).
- Knowledge of endpoint management, MDM, and device lifecycle processes.
- Experience with software deployment, patching, and OS upgrades.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Bash/Python) preferred.
- Understanding of enterprise integrations (Entra ID, AD, VPN, networking).
Experience:
- 3–6+ years of experience in Mac support / endpoint management.
- Experience in enterprise IT environments preferred.
- JAMF certification is a plus.
