Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Contract Executive to support the commercial and contractual management of construction projects in Singapore, Malaysia, and other international locations.
This position is ideal for candidates who are eager to develop their skills in contract administration and commercial management within the construction industry. You will work closely with project teams and gain hands-on experience while contributing to the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration and management of contracts throughout the project lifecycle, from tender stage to project completion.
- Support the review of tender documents and assist in the preparation of tender submissions, including reviewing and interpreting contract terms and conditions.
- Help monitor project progress, variations, and commercial performance to ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
- Maintain records of contractual obligations, variations, and potential commercial risks.
- Support the preparation of variation orders (VO), progress claims, and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
- Assist in maintaining a structured variation and claims tracking system to ensure proper documentation and timely submission.
- Help evaluate completed works and review progress claims based on contract provisions.
- Assist in the preparation and administration of subcontract agreements, including tracking subcontractor payments and variations.
- Attend project and site meetings and provide support on contractual and commercial matters.
- Support the identification of contractual risks and assist in dispute avoidance processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of contracts, claims, approvals, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with project managers, quantity surveyors, clients, and subcontractors to support effective contract implementation.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management / Project Management or equivalent
- 1–3 years of working experience in contract administration, quantity surveying, or a related role within the construction industry
- Can demonstrate an understanding of construction contracts and contract administration
- Familiarity with variations, claims, and contractual processes is an advantage
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, project specifications, and tender documents
- Willingness to learn, with a proactive and responsible attitude
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a team environment
