Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accounting Lecturer role based in Jenjarom. The Accounting Lecturer will design, deliver, and update undergraduate and/or postgraduate accounting modules, ensuring alignment with current professional standards and industry practices. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, conducting lectures, tutorials, and workshops, and providing academic guidance and mentorship to students. The role involves developing assessments, grading assignments and examinations, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate student records. The lecturer will also participate in curriculum review, contribute to accreditation and quality assurance activities, engage in scholarly or research-related work where appropriate, and collaborate with faculty members on departmental initiatives and student engagement activities.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in accounting and finance, with the ability to teach core subjects such as financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, and taxation.
• Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment design within higher education.
• Excellent classroom facilitation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse student population.
• Capability to use learning management systems, productivity software, and relevant accounting tools or software in teaching.
• A master’s degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is strongly preferred.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience in a university or college environment is an advantage, especially within accounting or business programs.
• Strong organizational skills, including timely grading, record management, and the ability to meet academic deadlines.
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching practices and continuous professional development.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to departmental, faculty, and university initiatives.
