Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Accounting, Finance and Reporting

  • Perform HQ reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Maintain, prepare and reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts with sub-ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Analyze profit and loss variances by channel (Retail, E-commerce), including gross profit and SGA (monthly).
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Monitor accounting data to identify unusual transactions, trends, or variances and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform fixed asset reviews quarterly and manage fixed asset reporting.
  • Perform inventory reviews and manage inventory provision reporting.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and other finance teams to ensure transactions are properly accounted for.


Taxes and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with statutory, taxes (Corporate Tax, SST, E-invoice, withholding tax), and audit requirements, coordinating with external tax agent and auditors for the requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.


Process Improvement

  • Assist in process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives within the accounting and finance function, including UAT.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by the superior.



REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimally 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent qualifications.
  • Professional accounting qualifications are preferred (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent).
  • Meticulous, self-driven and a positive team player with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Netsuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Power BI is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet timelines and adapt to fast changing business environment.
