Space Executive Hiring! Full Time Assistant Automation Manager in - Ricebowl

We are partnering with a global contract manufacturer in the electronics and precision engineering space to find an experienced automation professional ready to take ownership of their automation function across APAC.

The Role

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with significant regional scope. You will be responsible for driving the company's automation agenda — from strategy through to execution to oversee projects at overseas manufacturing sites.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and executing an automation strategy aligned with manufacturing and business goals
• Identifying automation opportunities and building ROI justifications to secure buy-in
• Managing the full project lifecycle — from concept and system design (including jigs and fixtures) through testing, commissioning, and handover to production
• Leading CapEx planning and budget management for automation investments
• Establishing technical standards and governance frameworks for automation across sites
• Driving productivity improvement and cost reduction initiatives
• Collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Ensuring safety compliance across all automation activities

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering (Master's is a plus)
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on automation experience, ideally in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Strong technical knowledge of robotics, PLCs, vision systems, and motion control
• Experience managing automation projects end-to-end with CapEx and ROI accountability
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin
• Strategic mindset with strong communication skills — comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
