Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Operations Excellence professional based in Tangkak. The role focuses on improving operational performance through data-driven analysis, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include mapping and refining processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing lean or Six Sigma methodologies to enhance quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. The role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (such as production, quality, supply chain, and sales) to align operations with business goals and best practices. The Operations Excellence professional will also track key performance indicators, prepare reports and presentations for management, support change management activities, and contribute to standardization and scalability of processes across the site.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset to evaluate performance, identify root causes, and propose effective improvement actions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings clearly, and support change management initiatives.
- Proficiency in operations management, including process mapping, capacity planning, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.
- Experience in project management to plan, execute, and monitor improvement projects, ensuring on-time and in-scope delivery.
- Exposure to sales or customer-facing processes is an advantage, enabling alignment of operational improvements with customer and business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Familiarity with lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Tangkak, handle multiple priorities, and contribute effectively in a diverse, international environment.
