Responsibilities

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in Terengganu, Malaysia. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and promoting ATS Oilfield Supply & Services Sdn Bhd products and solutions to clients in the oilfield sector. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and delivering technical sales presentations, responding to inquiries, and providing pre- and post-sales technical support to ensure client satisfaction. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to prepare quotations, proposals, and tender documents, as well as conducting site visits to understand customer requirements and application conditions. The Sales Engineer will also monitor market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to support continuous improvement of products and services.
Qualifications

  • Strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to translate customer requirements into practical solutions and provide hands-on assistance before and after sales.
  • Proven Sales and Customer Service abilities to build relationships, manage accounts, and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to prepare proposals, deliver presentations, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, petroleum, or related field) or equivalent practical experience in oilfield or industrial environments.
  • Basic understanding of oilfield equipment, services, and operations; willingness to learn and stay current with industry standards and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently on-site, manage priorities, and travel to customer locations as needed within the region.
  • Proficiency with standard office and sales tools (e.g., MS Office, CRM systems) and strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Valid driving license and readiness to visit onshore/offshore sites when required, in compliance with applicable safety procedures.
