Principal Duties

• Ensure that the company’s 10 Life-Saving Rules, policies, procedures, and HSE KPIs are adhered to and implemented as prescribed.
• Monitor the implementation of the HSE Plan for the group of companies and establish immediate control measures to ensure that programs are executed as planned.
• Ensure that Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) is updated and reviewed in a timely manner.
• Analyze the JHA and categorize hazards according to the Hazard Effect Management Process (HEMP).
• Assist the HSE General Manager in reporting accidents to local authorities and relevant departments such as DOSH, DOE, etc.
• Participate in accident/incident investigations and reporting.
• Update HSE performance statistics on a regular basis (internal and external).
• Monitor UAUC/STOP Card/ACT reporting, analyze findings, and propose corrective actions to address identified issues.
• Monitor the safety training matrix.
• Assist the HSE General Manager in preparing tender documents related to safety requirements.
• Conduct an annual review of the EAIA for all operations to ensure compliance with international standards.
• Maintain the Legal Register Table and communicate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
• Prepare the Integrated Management System (IMS) yearly plan and communicate it to all QHSE Coordinators at base operations.
• Coordinate with personnel from relevant departments to develop detailed procedures and initiate actions for implementation.
• Ensure that records are established and maintained to provide documented evidence that the Quality Management System (QMS) is being followed and that an effective system is in place.
• Ensure that document owners/writers and approvers have access to the Integrated Management System (IMS) portal.

Knowledge / Experience Required for the Job

• Minimum 3 years of work related experience.

Academic/Professional Qualification

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Science.
• Certification as a Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM) is an added advantage.
