Job Title:

Civil and Structural (C&S) Design Engineer

JobPurpose:

To undertake the analysis, design, andcoordination of civil and structural engineering works for building andinfrastructure projects in Singapore, ensuring compliance with projectrequirements, relevant Singapore Standards, statutory regulations, and clientspecifications.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Carry out civil and structural analysis and design for buildings, infrastructure, roads, drainage systems, retaining structures, and ancillary structures.
• Prepare structural calculations, engineering reports, technical specifications, and detailed drawings for project submissions and construction.
• Design reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and temporary works in accordance with relevant Singapore Standards (SS EN Eurocodes) and applicable National Annexes.
• Ensure all designs comply with the requirements of the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), the Land Transport Authority (LTA), and other relevant authorities where applicable.
• Coordinate with architects, M&E engineers, geotechnical engineers, contractors, and other consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Prepare and support submissions to statutory authorities and address technical comments arising from authority reviews.
• Liaise with Qualified Persons (QP), Accredited Checkers (AC), clients, and project stakeholders on technical and design matters.
• Review shop drawings, BIM models, method statements, and contractor submissions to ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Attend design coordination meetings, technical discussions, and site meetings.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction to resolve design-related issues.
• Participate in value engineering exercises to develop practical and cost-effective design solutions.
• Ensure timely completion of design deliverables in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements.
• Maintain proper records of design calculations, drawings, revisions, and project documentation.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in C&S consultancy or design engineering works in Singapore.
• Proficiency in design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, MIDAS, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Good knowledge of Singapore Standards (SS EN Eurocodes), BCA regulations, and local authority submission procedures.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and digital engineering practices.
• Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.

PreferredQualifications:

• Experience in preparing authority submissions and coordinating with regulatory agencies.
• Experience in building, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects in Singapore.
